‘Pensa-ments sospitosos’ by Esther Olóndriz

Pococomún celebrates the Nit de l'Art with five exhibitions that can only be seen that night, because, unfortunately, it will also mark closure of this space of art and design of Palma. It becomes another victim of the crisis that has to close.

One of these five exhibitions 'ephemeral' is Pensa-ments Sospitosos, the latest project by artist Esther Olóndriz and presented last June in an exhibition in Formentera with her great friend Pep Canyelles.

These are small pictures of 'suspects' manipulated and presented in frames of the fifties and sixties, which the painter has been buying for the last three years on markets. It is accompanied by a video installation, framed fingerprint portraits and profiles.

This painstaking work in the style of Sherlock Holmes (Olóndriz is a great reader of detective novels) has its reason for being. Serious vision problems prevented her to continue her work painting words for months, so she bought a small camera and began to photograph people around her who thought and had their own opinion, what made them potentially 'suspicious' to all kinds of t powers. In this list of suspicious minds the artist is also included.

The remaining exhibitions are: Monstruarium, by García Morey; Puta mare, by Miguel &Max; Quién no tiene pajaros en la cabeza by María Cuadrado, and Los invisibles amigos de adamexiste by Adamexiste.
