'The plague of 1652 in Inca'

The official chronicler of the city of Inca, Gabriel Pieras Salom, is responsible for guiding this tour which lasts approximately two hours. In it, Pieras Salom will explain why 1652 was a fateful year for Mallorca, with an epidemic of bubonic plague that killed more than 15,000 people, mostly in Palma.

One of the points of the part forana (Mallorcan villages) which had the highest incidence was Inca that went from 5,000 to 2,000 inhabitants and paralyzed all activity of the village, who already had an important presence of artisans grouped into guilds.

Meeting point: in front of the City Council of Inca.
