0 Votes

Tristá Moon (Havana, Cuba, 1980) was formed as a photographer at the School of Graphic University of Barcelona and currently resides in Milan.

Her black and white images show her obsession with the past and convey a mixture of glamor and decadence. She mainly portrays bodies of women in their intimacy, who show themselves with no fear of the camera's eye, of which this exhibition of Portraits is a good example.

Held within the frame of the II Festival Miradas de Mujeres de Mallorca (II Festival Views of Women from Mallorca), organized by the association Mujeres en las Artes Visuales (MAV)( Women in the Visual Arts) with activities throughout the month of March. Nearly thirty spaces around the island have joined the initiative, which has more than fifty participants including artists, curators and lecturers.

The festival aims to get the exposure and spread the work carried out by women in the art world in Spain deserves. It is celebrated simultaneously in the rest of the autonomous communities.
