Johannes Pfeiffer, born in the German city of Ulm in 1954, is an artist internationally recognized for his sculptural interventions in historic and heritage buildings. Rocas errantes (Wandering Rocks) is the title of this proposal which arises from his visit to Casal Solleric, where he could see the perfect symbiosis between the architecture and the atmosphere of its yard, in which Pfeiffer says he perceives the history of the island.
The elements chosen for this intervention are thread and stone, an exquisite combination of drawing in the sculpture that the artist has taken with his proverbial teaching to landscapes of the world.
The viewer can see two rocks from Binissalem pierced by the artist's hand to tighten those bright strings that direct our eyes and invite us to a double reflection on the passage of time and beauty.
