To Nacho Martín Silva (Madrid, 1977), Synthesis means the literal application of his own definition of the materialization of a 'painting' through drawing. Because, beyond the image it represents, the painting contains the whole story that conceived it, the represented image being only the outcome of that story.
In this work Martín Silva shows a series of drawings and notes belonging to the artist’s own notebook, set to fire and the ash of which is accumulated to be ground later and used as a pigment.
