Opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi (Italy, 1813-1901), based on the stage adaptation of the novel La Dame aux Camelias, signed by Alexandre Dumas (son). It is an unusual piece in the production of Verdi for its realistic character. It is an intimate drama in which the actors, when it premiered, first wore contemporary costumes and not historical, as was customary.
This production of the Opera Company Grand National Theatre of Varna is headed by Borislav Ivanov and participating choirs and soloists Irina Zhekova (Violet Valery), Boris Lukov (Alfredo Germont), Blagovesta Stateva (Anina), Eugeniy Stanimirov (Barone Douphol ), Ina Petrova (Flora Bervoix), Geo Chobanov (Dottor Grenvil), Svilen Nikolov (Giorgio Germont), Stoyan Findzikov (Gastone), Plamen Dimitrov (Marchese d'Obigny) and Hristo Ganevski (Giuseppe).
