The photojournalist Gervasio Sánchez has been photographing since 1995 people maimed by landmines for the awareness project Mined lives , an extensive documentary showing the ordeal suffered by victims , most of them children from countries such as Cambodia , Mozambique , Bosnia and Herzegovina or Colombia .
This is a selection of images that reflect some of the stories of the involuntary protagonists from the collection this photojournalist hardened by conflicts in Latin America, the Gulf War or Bosnia .
Born in Cordoba in 1959 , he has worked as a freelance reporter for El Heraldo de Aragón , La Vanguardia , the Spanish service of the BBC and Tiempo magazine , among other media. In 2009 he was awarded the National Prize for Photography.
The exhibition is of an itinerant character and after Inca it can be seen in the town of Santanyi . It is sponsored by DKV Seguros in collaboration with the Institut d' Estudis Baleàrics.
