Six hundred young people between 7 and 22 years old, belonging to thirty schools in Mallorca, have participated in the nineteenth edition of Photo Jove 2014, of which the exhibition can now be seen in the courtyard of Casal Solleric Palma.
This year the theme chosen by the organization has been the Senses. The young participants have made a photographic journey through taste, smell, hearing, touch and sight, using their unique resources and photographic techniques, different ways of understanding the five concepts. A wealth of views showing the ease of young people to express themselves in images.
The exhibition presents 38 awards of the three categories that are established, a selection of the best photos printed on paper and three audio-visuals in which much of the photographic material made in this edition can be seen.
PHOTO JOVE is an activity organized by Pilar Negredo, with the close support of Regidoria d' Educació of Palma City Council, the Fundació Palma Espai d' Art and Contratas Bartolome Ramon. This year it has had the collaboration of several firms among which is ArtsMallorca, who delivered the 6th Award to María Cano Muñoz, in the category 16-22 anys (EFC ) for theme Vista, and the 8th Award to Carles Francesc Martí Cuadra, in the category of 13-15 anys (Col • legi CIDE), on the topic Hearing.
The first winners of the three categories are:
From 16 to 22 years: CEF 1st Prize: Prisca Laguna Solis.
From 13 to 15 years: CBR 1st Prize: Aina Gomis synths, IES Son Pacs.
From 7 to 12 years: 1st Prize CBR: Marc Nieto Antich, Santa Monica College.
