Micer32 Galeries de Pollença inaugurates its new art project with this serial work exhibition of ALIGI Sassu. The Italian painter came to Mallorca in 1963 and remained here until his death in Pollença, in 2000.
After belonging to the futurist movement, Aligi Sassu began painting in a more intimate way and to develop his peculiar universe of bullfighting, full of horses and Mediterranean landscapes and also the beautiful beaches of Mallorca, especially Cala de Sant Vicens, in Pollença. These are works very much alive, with broad nervous strokes, in which color will be the protagonist.
The exhibition is composed of fourteen paintings (lithographs, serigraphs, etchings, aquatint and puntiseca) and a sculpture of a horse, one of the icons in the work of Sassu.
