Andreu Riera is one of the most significant and outstanding pianists of Spain, winner of major international piano competitions and regular in the programming of the most important festivals in the world. Last January he entered the Acadèmia Reial de Belles Arts de Sant Sebastia.
Born in Manacor, he studied music in the Escolanía de Llluc singing with the famous blauets, later he moved to Madrid where he completed his studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music. He was part of the chamber group Manon, with which he has toured Europe, and regularly collaborates with the Image Ensemble, Trio Kandinsky or the choir Studium Aureum, among other formations.
In this concert play with cellist of Barcelona Oriol Palau, which currently serves as professor of cello and chamber music at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Mallorca. The program consists of Sevilla. Picturesque Suite. op.2 (1908), Joaquin Turina, Sonate pour piano et cello (1915), Claude Debussy and Sonata for cello and piano op. 65 (1846), by Frédéric Chopin.
