The cycle música Antiga continues with this concert by Anna Markova (baroque violin) and Eudald Dantí Roure (basso continuo). They will perform a program of Baroque music with works by Giovanni Battista Fontana (1571-1630), Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber (1644-1704), Johann Heinrich Schmelzer (1620 - 1680), Johann Schop (1590-1667), Antonio Vivaldi (1678- 1741), Georg Philipp Telemann (1681 1767) and Arcangelo Corelli (1653-1713).

Anna Markova (Kazarkhstan, 1985) received her first violin lessons at age four and with only 11 she entered the State Music School for Gifted Youngsters in Minsk. She has performed at many festivals and concert series  and in 2012 founded a trio and a string quartet in Bremen, with which she performs regularly. In February 2014 she performed as a soloist in the Beethoven Violin Concerto with the Baroque Orchestra of this German city.

In Palma she will be accompanied by Eudald Dantí Roure (Gerona, 1982), Senior Lecturer in organ, piano, music theory and chamber music. He studied at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen, in 2013 where he earned an MA in Early Music, and performs concerts in Europe, USA and Japan as an interpreter of organ, piano, harpsichord, clavichord and harmonium. He is a founding member of the Ensemble Thelxinoe specializing in instrumental music of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
