The sixth concert of the 2019-2020 Season of la Fundació Studium Aureum is dedicated to Salve Regina and Stabat Mater by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, one of the most influential composers of the Baroque.

Along with Rossini's, the best known version of Stabat Mater is that of Pergolesi (1710-1736). The work, from the 13th century, is attributed to Pope Innocent III and is a liturgical poetic hymn of the Mass in the Roman rite.

Half an hour before the concert, directed by Carles Ponseti, the composer Mercè Pons will give a talk about this work and the Italian composer.
