The cycle The film composers in concert dedicates this event to two authors of great soundtracks. Basil Poledouris (1945-2006) was a composer born in the United States within a Greek family who achieved success with the music of films like The Blue Lagoon, Conan the Barbarian, Red Dawn, RoboCop and The Hunt for Red October, among others.
Meanwhile, Maurice Jarre (1924-2009), father of French composer Jean-Michel Jarre, was the author of the music of such famous film as Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Doctor Zhivavo (1965) and A Passage to India (1984), with which he won the Oscar for Best Original Soundtrack.
Organized by the Balearic Association of Friends of the soundtracks (ABABS), this cycle projects film music concerts directed by the great masters.
