This saxophonist became famous in the nineties with New Cool Collective, a very innovative formation inspired by jazz dance music, surf, punk, free jazz and traditional music from all over the world, in addition to explore the repertoire of composers such as Byard, Monk and Mengellberg.
Currently, Benjamin German is one of the most original and productive musicians in the Netherlands, exploring fields that go beyond the world of jazz. His last solo album, which makes number 16 in his career, is titled Trouble and was recorded in 2014.
Benjamin German performs at the Auditori d'Alcúdia within the new edition of the Festival Alternatilla Jazz in Majorca accompanied by Majorcan guitarist Toni Miranda, the Finnish bass player residing in Mallorca, Marko Lohikari and the Catalan drummer Andreu Pitarch.
