This concert is dedicated to the work of Heinrich Ignaz von Biber, a prominent seventeenth-century German violinist, and the music of the Italian masters that influenced him. It also has a didactic nature, as the interpretation of the music is interspersed with explanations about the pieces and the relationship between the music of the Italians and Biber.
