Organized by the Mallorca Booksellers Guild is celebrated every year this Book Fair which in its 31 edition host to eleven libraries and four institutional organizations. Its extended and varied programming includes nearly 50 literary events between presentations, book signings and cultural events. It also has a program which includes book presentations and conferences.

Another change from previous editions is moving to Via Roma and the extension of the time schedule to facilitate public access.The following libraries will have exhibitors: Alia, Drac Màgic, Embat Llibres / Born de Llibres, La Biblioteca de Babel, Literanta, Quart Creixent, Llibreria Campus, Los Oficios Terrestres, Agapea, Llibres Colom and El Corte Ingles. The Institutional representation in this literary fair will be by the Consell de Mallorca, the Govern de les Illes Balears, Palma City Council and the Institut d'Estudis Baleàrics.

The presentations of books and other cultural activities will be held in a tent used as auditorium, has been installed in the garden of La Misericòrdia, while writers sign their works at the stands of various libraries. See the full program of presentations and book signing in the PDF document.

Saturday, June 8
11.30 h. Storytelling Endevinalles a la fira, by Grade Nati. Offered by the City Council of Palma.
13.00 h. Presentation Contes de les Illes, by Carme Planells (co-author) and Neus Escandell (editor).
18.00 h. Presentation Metamorfosis urbanas: Ciudades españolas en la dinámica global from Miquel Fernandez (co-author), by Marc Morell (anthropologist), who will talk about Chinatown in Palma.
19.30 h. Context Viu. Event organized by la Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (the Association of Writers in Catalan). Speakers include: Josefa Contijoch (Principality), Pere Morey, Felip Munar and Maria Victoria Secall (Mallorca), Joan Pons (Menorca) and Iolanda Bonet (Ibiza).

Sunday, June 9
11.30 h Storytelling Fira de contes by Nati de Grado, offered by the City Council of Palma
19.00 h. Final party with a performance of the musical group Maranges

Saturday, June 8
All day. Drac Màgic. Miquel Perello, La transformació de la nit de l’incendi, will be “l’increible home-resposta”, and will answer any questions.
12.00 h. El Corte Ingles. Antoni Tugores and Maria Antonia Sureda, Els millors plats de la cuina popular de Mallorca.

Sunday, June 9
19.00 h. Embat / Born de Llibres. Liz Haley, Cautiva y seducida and Rowyn Oliver, La marca del guerrero.
