The great pianist Chano Domínguez is a highly respected and sought-after musician who has successfully achieved a strange mix of Latin, flamenco and jazz rhythms and languages. He visits the XXI Festival Alcúdiajazz in tandem with the Andalusian singer Mariola Membrives.
The duo Chano Domínguez and Mariola Membrives is the passionate encounter between music and song from the two coasts of the Atlantic. The music in the hands of the pianist from Cádiz, a universal reference of flamenco jazz, and the song in the prodigious voice of the singer and actress from Cordoba, who appropriates tango, bolero, jazz or copla.
With a selection of classic authors through some of their most representative themes, such as Thelonious Monk (Round Midnight), Atahualpa Yupanqui (Los ejes de mi carreta), Marta Valdés (Hacia donde) or Violeta Parra (Gracias a la vida).
Chano Domínguez and Mariola Membrives premiered this show in the framework of the Grec amphitheater in Barcelona, being one of the main attractions of the last edition of the festival.
