The fascination of cinema by vertical architecture has been repeated in many films since the dawn of this industry until today. Metropolis is a legendary science fiction film directed by Fritz Lang in 1926. This is one of the best examples of German expressionist cinema and is one of the few films included in the Memory of the World program of UNESCO.
The vertical plane Cinema cycle is coordinated by Fernando Lara, journalist and film writer and former director of the International Film Festival of Valladolid. The films are screened in original version with subtitles.
