The Ukrainian pianist Dinara Klinton opens the 2024 Chopin Festival with a concert at the Cartuja de Valldemossa performing works by Robert Schumann, Frédéric Chopin, Joan Maria Thomàs and Clara Schumann. This year's edition of the Festival Chopin de Valldemossa is subsidized by the Department of Culture of the Consell de Mallorca, the Institut d'Estudis Balearics of the Government of the Balearic Islands and the European Union with Next Generation funds.
After winning first prize at the 2006 Busoni Piano Competition at the age of 18, Dinara Klinton began a great international career performing at prestigious festivals such as the Progetto Martha Argerich in Lugano, the Cheltenham Music Festival, the Aldeburgh Proms and Roque de Antheron.
In addition to performing in many of the world's most important concert halls (the Royal Festival Hall and Wigmore Hall in London, Berliner Philharmonie and Konzerthaus, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Gewandhaus Leipzig, New York 92Y, Tokyo Sumida Triphony Hall, Great Hall of Conservatory of Moscow, etc.), his engagements include The Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, Svetlanov State Orchestra and St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. She combines her performing career with her role as a piano teacher at the Royal College of Music and the Yehudi Menuhin School.
As a recording artist, she has received widespread critical acclaim. Her album Études d’ exécution transcendante de Liszt, released by the German label GENUIN classics, had rave reviews and was selected by BBC Music Magazine as Record of the Month. Her third CD is part of the renowned series of recordings of Chopin's complete works on contemporary instruments published by the Fryderyk Chopin Institute in Poland. Her latest CD is Prokofiev Complete Piano Sonatas, published by Piano Classics.

The Chopin Festival is organized by the Associació Festivals Chopin de Valldemossa. It is directed by pianist Miquel Estelrich and, in this edition, it will program four concerts on Sundays from August 4 to 25, which are held in la Cartuja de Valldemossa.
