The last concert of the XIV Festival de Música Clásica Pianino 2023is performed by Dmitry Ablogin, one of the most brilliant and innovative keyboardists today.
He studied at the Gnessin Academy in Moscow, from which he graduated with honors in 2012, and continued his education in Germany, studying fortepiano at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt.
Laureate at the 1st International Chopin Competition for Period Instruments in Warsaw (2018), Dmitry has won prizes at numerous piano competitions: the Nikolai Rubinstein in Paris, the Vera Lotar-Shevchenko in Novosibirsk, the German Piano Open in Hannover and Musica Antiqua in Witches. In October 2021, Dmitry won the German International Piano Prize and made his debut at the Alte Oper Frankfurt.
In addition to performing around the world, Dmitry Ablogin teaches piano and fortepiano at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt.
In this concert, which is held in the Fréderic Chopin and George Sand Cell of the Cartuja de Valldemossa, Ablogin will play a program dedicated entirely to Chopin's work on a Pleyel grand piano from 1851:
