Anne Murugarren and Joachim Trincado directed this 2005 road movie that features the daily life of a tour of Javier Krahe and his band. It also involves some of his friends like Joaquin Sabina – with whom he shared the stage at the legendary venue The Mandragora of Madrid, Alejandro Sanz, Tamariz, El Gran Wyoming, Pablo Carbonell, Pilar Bardem and Fernando Sabater, among others.
Javier Krahe (1944) debuted as a solo artist in 1980 with Valle de lágrimas (Valley of Tears), an album that already revealed the identity of this satirical, cynical, funny songwriter with a style borrowed from Georges Brassens. Ironic lyrics combined with clever rhymes and music skewed towards jazz.
After the screening of the documentary Esta no es la vida de Javier Krahe (This is not the life of Javier Krahe) there will be a colloquial conversation with the artist, who will perform live at the Harlem Cafe on April 3, 4 and 5.
