This festival is celebrated since 1792, when Catalina Thomàs (Valldemossa, 1531 - Palma, 1574) was beatified. Each year on the third Saturday in October, the central streets of Palma are filled with color and tradition with floats, musicians and folk groups in many parts of the island. This saint, known as Beata or Beateta, enjoys great devotion and popularity in Mallorca.
In the morning a Mass is celebrated in the church of St. Maria Magdalena with the girl who represents the saint, who will walk in the main float during the afternoon parade. Party program.
