The Jewish Community of the Balearic Islands celebrates Hanukkah, a Jewish holiday that commemorates the defeat of the Greeks and recovery of Jewish independence by the Maccabees. Also called Feast of Lights or skylights, and takes place in the winter solstice.
In addition to the lighting of the fifth candle, there will be a tasting of sweet wine and fritters.
