The construction of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the first created by the Foundation Solomon R. Guggenheim, was surrounded by controversy. It took 15 years to be erected, a decade after the death of the famous art collector and philanthropist and six months after the death of Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959), who designed the legendary building. The documentary reveals the secret life of the museum through the letters of this American architect, one of the masters of twentieth century architecture.

The projection of Frank Lloyd Wright, The Secret Life of the Guggenheim Museum is organized by the College of Architects of the Balearic Islands.
