The construction of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the first created by the Foundation Solomon R. Guggenheim, was surrounded by controversy. It took 15 years to be erected, a decade after the death of the famous art collector and philanthropist and six months after the death of Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959), who designed the legendary building. The documentary reveals the secret life of the museum through the letters of this American architect, one of the masters of twentieth century architecture.
