Grup Instrumental de València: 'Un día tan solo'

Created in 1991, the Grup Instrumental de València is an ensemble dedicated to contemporary music from the 20th and 21st centuries. It is the resident group of the IVAM-Institut València d'Art Contemporani. This concert is entitled Un día tan solo, and is dedicated to current Spanish music.

The program consists of Rotting Wood and Damaged Iron (2018), for violin, cello and piano, by Oscar Colomina (Valencia, 1977); Un día tan solo (1997), for flute and clarinet, by Luis de Pablo (Bilbao, 1930); Machaut-Architektur II (2004), for flute, clarinet, violin and cello, by José Mª Sánchez-Verdú (Cádiz, 1968); Canción callada in memoriam Frederico Mompou (1988), for violin, cello and piano, by Cristóbal Halffter (Madrid, 1930); Abbreviations (1999), for flute, clarinet, violin and cello, by César Camarero (Madrid, 1962); and Ametsak 2 (2019), for flute, clarinet, piano, violin and cello, by Gabriel Erkoreka (Bilbao, 1969).

Directed by Joan Cerveró, the Grup Instrumental de València is made up of José Mª Sáez-Ferriz (flutes), José Cerveró (clarinet), Mª Carmen Antequera (violin), Laura Gómez García (cello) and Carlos Apellániz (piano).
