This jazz festival begins its 2012 edition with rumba, guaguancó and son, designated name to several genres of Afro-Caribbean-mestizo. In charge of this will be the group led by Hugo Socrate, one of the most versatile and sought after drummers of the moment besides a great showman. He is accompanied by vocalist Jaime Nadal, Pepe Estrada on bass, Dani Roth on keyboard and Jose Luis Garcia on congos.
