The last concert of the 29th edition of Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla is led by the Huialfàs Ensemble, an orchestra led by Miquel Bennàssar that revives the work tunes of Sa Pobla in a jazzy and experimental key.
Bennàssar has carried out a research project to rescue the echoes of the melodies that filled the countryside in the past centuries, and has arranged them for a jazz orchestra with a string section, traditional instruments and, of course, voice.
The band consists of 34 of the best musicians on the jazz, classical and traditional music scene in Mallorca and Catalonia under the direction of maestro Sergi Vergés.
