Throughout the second half of the 20th century, through the eyes of the photographer Josep Planas i Montanyà (Cardona, 1924-Palma, 2016), the image of Mallorca was configured as a tourist destination and also as a reserve of a presumed constructed identity from some cliches.
Produced by Casa Planas for Can Balaguer, the exhibition Identitat i turisme, Planas i Montanyà holds two sections: one that includes a hundred images of Palma's tourist identity, and a community work action in the Arenal neighborhood entitled Memoria litoral (Coastal Memory).
