The Nit de l'Art (Art Night) of Palma was the first event of its kind held in Europe. It was initiated in 1996 promoted by two associations of gallery owners: Art Palma and the Independent Association of Art Galleries Baleares (AIGAB).
It is an artistic, ludic and social event, in which the people of Palma take to the streets and enjoy until midnight the proposals offered by art galleries, museums and cultural centers. This year there are a total of 22 exhibition spaces. Most of them inaugurate exhibitions with which they open the new season.
This year also marks , after being left out in the last edition-the project Art Vision project, which will take place in the Plaza Major. It involves thirty artists whose works will be exposed in this outdoor space.
Apart from art there will be music, by U Jazz Quartet, and other proposals like the story-telling presented by Aina Maria Lliteras at 15:00.
