The old coach houses of the railway station of Sóller Palma, converted into exhibition halls, hosts this show with this graphic work of Joan Miró (Barcelona, ??1893-Palma, 1983). It is curated by Joan Miró Punyet, grandson of the artist.
The selection of works reflects, on the one hand, the symbiosis of Miro with Mallorca; on the other, it approaches us to a lyrical and poetic Miró that translate in his works his most mystical and fantastic aspect. An example is the series Les Revenants.
The show presents in an unprecedented way only three pieces, two of which are exercises in lithographic pencil and varnish on a copper plate and the third is the copper plate used in the engravings of etching to illustrate the poem El Pi de Formentor (1875) , by Miquel Costa i Llobera.
