Guitar recital by José María Gallardo Rey in Es Fortí de Cala d’Or within the XII Vila de Santanyí International Music Festival.
At only eight years old, José María Gallardo Rey made his debut in Seville and since then he has achieved the greatest success with critics and the public. He is recognized in the field internationally as one of the great guitarists of today.
His training as a classical guitarist has been enriched by his intense relationship with the world of flamenco, with collaborations on projects with artists of the stature of Paco de Lucía, Plácido Domingo, Teresa Berganza, Elina Garanca or María Pagés.
A Deutsche Grammophon artist, he has recorded more than 30 CDs throughout his career. He is an academic at the Royal Academy of San Carlos in Valencia and currently holds the Andrés Segovia Chair in the International Music Courses in Compostela.
