In 1950, Josef Albers and Joan Miró coincided at the Harvard University Graduate Center invited by Walter Gropius to decorate the new university campus. Both artists - it is unknown if they achieved a personal relationship- now establish a dialogue through their works in this exhibition of a total of 207 pieces. Of these, 114 are from the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation and 93 of the Foundation Pilar i Joan Miró.
Ardor de la Mirada (Burning look) draws a parallel between the work of these two artists, who shared the desire to innovate and experiment with shapes and colors. It merges paintings, drawings and sculptures by Miró with paintings, prints and works on glass by Albers.
In parallel, there will also be an exhibition dedicated to the techniques and methods used in graphic works by Josef Albers (188-1976), who was a member of the famous Bauhaus school.
