The Cell of Frédéric Chopin and George Sand in Cartoixa de Valldemossa hosts this recital by renowned flutist and composer Lara Wong and pianist María Márquez. Lara Wong (Canada, 1990), who confesses her unconditional love for flamenco music, has been the winner of the Filón Minero for Best Instrument in 2022 at the International Festival de Cante de las Minas held in La Unión (Murcia).
The program is dedicated to works by Frédéric Chopin transcribed for flute and piano: Prelude in B Major No. 21 op. 28, Nocturne No. 3 op. 10, Waltz No. 2 op. 34, Study in F minor No. 2 op. 25, Waltz No. 1 op. 64, Nocturne No. 2 op. 9, Prelude No. 4 op. 28, Mazurka No. 2 op. 67, Mazurka No. 4 op. 67, Study No. 3 op. 10 and Polonaise No. 1 op. 26.
