First concert of the 10th Vila de Santanyí International Music Festival, organized by the City Council's Department of Culture. It is held in the church of Santa Maria del Mar in Cala d'Or and will be performed by mezzo-soprano Lorena Valero and pianist Miquel Estelrich, artistic director of the Festival.

Lorena Valero stands out powerfully on stage for her marked musical and theatrical personality with which she brings her characters to life, a wide gallery among which Santuzza (in the opera Cavalleria rusticana), Elena de Mefistofele, Aida, Suzuki, Rosario ( from Goyescas de Granados), Salud (in the opera La vida breve), Sesto (from La Clemenza di Tito), Charlotte (from Werther) or Carmen, a role with which she will make her debut soon.

His intense and varied activity as a pianist of Miquel Estelrich has led him to perform in large theaters and auditoriums in Spain, Italy, the United States, Portugal, France, Austria, Germany or China, either as soloist with orchestra, soloist or chamber music. He has recorded 14 CDs and produced 16 books with works for piano, for voice and piano and for piano and orchestra by great composers.

He is regularly invited to teach at The Paris International Summer Sessions at the École Normale de Paris, Alfred Cortot, as well as at universities in Taiwan and China. He has a doctorate from the University of the Balearic Islands and has been a pianist with the Balearic Symphony Orchestra since its foundation in 1989.
