MajorDocs is the first international documentary film festival in Mallorca. A space to discover and enjoy other realities and views through a selection of documentaries, with spaces dedicated to creation and creators such as MajorDocs PRO and MajorDocs EDUCA. It is celebrated from October 3 to 7 in different spaces in Palma.

The eight films that make up this year's official section raise, from different points of view and themes, interesting reflections in the social, political and cultural sphere.

The list includes the following titles:

Apolonia Apolonia, by Léa Gleob. Danish documentary that focuses on the figure of the young artist Apolonia, one of the prominent names in contemporary art. National premiere.

Los dependientes, by Sofía Brockenshire. The Canadian filmmaker reflects on her biography and her relationship with migrations. National premiere.

Knit’s Island, directed by Quentin Lo helgoualc'h, Ekiem Barbier and Guilhem Causse. A unique audiovisual experiment that comes from France and where its directors illustrate, in first person, their career as users of a video game. Premiere in the Balearic Islands.

A los libros y a las mujeres canto, by María Elorza. The Basque director pays tribute to literature through the women around her. Premiere in the Balearic Islands.

La luz cae vertical, directed by Efthymia Zymvragaki. Spanish production where the director approaches the story of a man who carries violence inside, as she says. In this meeting, the filmmaker remembers her past. Premiere in the Balearic Islands.

Weightless, by Marta Hryniuk and Nick Thomas. A poetic documentary that comes from the Netherlands and focuses on the anthropological research that its protagonist carries out in southeastern Ukraine. International premiere.

Puerto Deseado, by Juan M Bugarin. Argentine production where the story of Wytrikusz, a former combatant from the Falklands who intends to make a very particular trip, is recreated. National premiere.

Al Djanat, directed by Chloé Aïcha Boro. A co-production from France, Burkina Faso, Benin and Germany that focuses on family tensions that arise after the death of one of the family members. National premiere.
