It is the 12th edition of the Nitx de l'Art, a meeting that has become a great opportunity to discover the new artistic trends that are moving on the island and which places Felanitx at the forefront of art nights held in Majorca.
This year, more than 150 artists and more than 30 spaces make up the edition. The visitor will be able to discover, among the different disciplines and fields, to types of artists, from the consolidated to the emerging ones.
The 12th Nitx de l'Art is strongly committed to the new artistic trends to bring contemporary art and new expressions to the citizens. It is organized by the Cultural Center of Felanitx together with the City Council.
In the Casa de Cultura we find a piece made expressly for Felanitx; In the Sala Miquel Barceló the pictorial intervention site-specific Doppelgangër by Albert Pinya, guarded by the AECA in 2015 with the prize for the best work of a Spanish artist alive. The intervention is curated by Pilar Rubi.
In the Casa de Cultura will also be shown the collective exhibition of the works selected in the III Certamen d'Arts Plàstiques Ciutat de Felanitx, which this year has had 82 proposals from around the world. In the Sala d'Actes you can see the work L'home que navegava amb les estrelles of Antonina Obrador, videoart in format super 8.
Also worthy of note is the large installation of audiovisual lighting by INTRVL, which will perform two interventions: one at the Santa Margalida fountain, L'aigüa de sa Font (audiovisual installation), and a second in the basement of the Mercat Live Concert, which consists of a light and audiovisual installation, live DJ and piano session.
