Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears

The chief conductor of the OSIB Pablo Mielgo directs this fourteenth concert of the Season 2016-2017. A lyrical proposal dedicated entirely to the Requiem  of Giuseppe Verdi, a sacred composition for choir, voices, soloists and orchestra.

This mass was written by Verdi in 1873 after the death of his friend and compatriot Alessandro Manzoni, premiering a year later on the first anniversary of his death.
