I Festival Jazz Palma that brings together two formations, in this ..." />
Another of the proposals of the I Festival Jazz Palma that brings together two formations, in this case two trios, in the same concert.
On the one hand, the one formed in Amsterdam in 2017 by Majorcan bassist Pere Bujosa, pianist Xavi Torres and drummer Joan Terol. They present their second project, which is entitled Wabi-sabi (a Japanese term that refers to the beauty of imperfection) and has been awarded as Best Jazz Album in the II Premis Enderrok of Balearic music.
They share a concert with the trio led by composer and pianist Jose Carra, one of the most creative performers of the new generation of Spanish jazz musicians. With a strong influence of classical music and jazz, they refer to other styles such as rock, pop, electronic music or popular music, where poetry plays a fundamental role. The trio was selected by the SGAE Foundation for JazzEñe and has been one of the five groups chosen by the Association of Interpreters and Performers for the 2019 AIEnRUTa-JAZZ tour.
They present their latest work Diary of flight, 12 new own compositions that stand out for an experimental sound, with minimalist melodies and a rhythmic base close to electronics and rock.
Jose Carra (piano, Fender Rhodes, Wurtlitzer and synthesizers), Bori Albero (double bass) and Dani Domínguez (drums and electronics).
