This November marks the 175th anniversary of the arrival of Frederic Chopin and George Sand in Mallorca. To celebrate it, the pianist Rose Cholmondeley offers this concert in the cell where the artists lived in the Cartuja de Valldemossa during the winter of 1838-1839.
Rose Cholmondeley is the president of the Chopin Society, founded in London in 1971 by Lucie Swiatek to celebrate the life and work of the Polish composer. She has performed numerous concerts in Europe, the U.S. and India it spreads abroad a music. This is his first visit to Mallorca.
The works that Chopin began or ended during their stay on the island form the program of this emotional concert, Cholmondeley interpreted in the same place where they were written and the same plane in which the composer played.
