Installation, photography and video make up the new project which the Uruguayan Marcelo Víquez (Montevideo, 1971) presents in Casal Tugores de Alaro. An exhibition that is added to the one that can be seen until June 22at Gallery Kewening in Palma, entitled Riesgo innecesario (II) ( Unnecessary Risk (II)).
In the words of Viquez, who lives in Mallorca for more than a decade, "combining different art media I question the contradictions of a society that has welcomed me from the point of view of an outsider." An artist with a powerful speech who on this occasion has taken as symbols a rope and a beam for his black and white photographs.
