This wind quintet is made up of teachers of the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands. All are of Valencian origin included the name with which they are presented honoring Joan Lluís Vives, one of the most important figures of Catalan culture in Renaissance Europe.
It consists of Mayte Abargues (flute), Sílvia Insa (clarinet), Carlos Fortea (oboe), José Francisco Fortea (horn) and Jose Tatay (bassoon).
In this seventh concert of the chamber music cycle Musics de sa Symfònia they are accompanied by the young Bulgarian pianist Dina Nedeltcheva as a soloist. The program consists of Wind quintet with piano, by Lv Beethoven; Le Tombeau de Couperin, by M. Ravel; Concert and Adagio in G for piano and orchestra by M. Ravel.
