Marianne and Leonard: Words of Love
This documentary directed by Nick Broomfield and produced by the BBC in 2019 tells the tragic but beautiful love story between Canadian musician Leonard Cohen and his Norwegian muse Marianne Ihlen. The love between the two began on the idyllic island of Hydra in 1960, when they met in a bohemian community of foreign artists, musicians and writers. Language: Spanish.

With interventions by Nick Cave himself, Susie Cave, Warren Ellis, Darian Leader, Ray Winstone, Blixa Bargeld, Kylie Minogue and his son Arthur Cave, who tragically passed away in 2015.

The Mamas & the Papas were an American musical group of the 1960s, consisting of John Phillips (1935–2001), Denny Doherty (1940–2007), Cass Elliot (1941–1974), and Michelle Phillips (1944). All of them were from the United States except Denny Doherty, who was Canadian. They were one of the most notorious exponents of the hippie era, flower power and the generation of love. Its sound was based on the vocal harmonies and the adaptation of folk to the new pop style of the first half of the 60s.
