Parade with floats, costumes and a lot of atmosphere to experience the carnival in the street
Sa Rua de Marratxí returns in 2026 with a very street edition: floats, costumes, music and parade to fill the municipality with atmosphere. Good plan to go with family or meet friends and watch the troupes go by (and decide which one wins the prize for best costume).
✅ Why go
Because it is one of those events that mark the beginning of the carnival on the island (and Marratxí presents it as the first Carnival celebration in Mallorca): easy plan, family atmosphere and a lot of “seeing and being seen” in costumes.
❌ To keep in mind
If you want a good place to see the start or take photos, it is advisable to arrive early: at the beginning is when the floats are more “round”.
