The Fundació Coll Bardolet de Valldemossa presents this exhibition whose subtitle is El Ukiyo y el arte del paisaje en la estampa xilográfica japonesa (The Ukiyo and the art of the landscape in the Japanese woodblock print).
Japanese prints, which go by the name ukiyo (translated as prints of the flowing world), appeared around the 18th century in the city of Edo (present-day Tokyo). They were made with the woodcut technique, original from the East, which made art more accessible by being able to stamp the drawing as many times as the artist wanted.
Around this exhibition there will be workshops for children and adults.
