It is a festivity declared of tourist interest and the most important event of the winter for the people of Sa Pobla. Although the great outburst of this popular festival takes place on the eve of San Antonio, a week before the village hosts a multitude of activities: a Record Fair, numerous exhibitions, plays, parades, a shooting competition with Honda, a children’s competition of ximbombes (a kind of Mallorcan bagpipe) and a fireworks display, among others.
The big party, to which visitors of Palma and other towns of Mallorca flock, is the great popular barbecue with bonfires on the 16th and the sung dialectical duels that occur among glosadores. The popular fun week closes the feast day of the saint with a float parade and the blessing of pets.
