The Festes de Sant Antoni 2026 in Pollença and Port de Pollença are one of Mallorca’s most vibrant and traditional winter celebrations, held in honor of Sant Antoni Abat, the patron saint of animals.

For several days in January, the town’s squares, streets, and surroundings are filled with bonfires, traditional Mallorcan music, Dimonis (devil dances), Gloses, and popular activities. The festivities combine religious, folkloric, and community elements, creating a festive atmosphere that attracts both locals and visitors.

In Pollença, one of the most iconic aspects of the festival is the Pujada del Pi, a tradition where participants climb a specially prepared pine trunk in the Plaça Vella, testing their physical skills and fostering a competitive spirit.

When

16 and 17 January 2026 — these dates mark the eve (Revetla) and the main day of Sant Antoni, with activities during both day and night.

What to expect

  • Foguerons and bonfires illuminate the squares at night.

  • Dances of the Dimonis and traditional music, with typical instruments such as xeremies and gloses, throughout the streets.

  • Blessing of the animals, processions, and religious ceremonies on 17 January.

  • Traditional activities in Pollença and Port de Pollença, open to locals and visitors.

The festival is free and open to everyone, representing a mix of rural tradition, religious devotion, and community celebration that keeps Mallorcan popular culture alive.
