'Sorolla. The color of the sea'

1 Vote

The Valencian artist Joaquín Sorolla (1863-1923) had a real passion for painting and the sea. This exhibition looks at his work through what has certainly been his biggest protagonist. Sorolla observed the real sea and spends hours looking for the formulas to grasp it in all its states, exploiting all the plastic possibilities he offers it with his play of lights.

An inexhaustible topic and a constantly changing surface that Sorolla wants to transmit with all its vividness on the still, flat surface of the canvas.
