The Parson Red Heads will headline the third edition of this summer festival held in Es Baluard. Summer Pie 2014 schedules on two days a total of eight concerts, of one-hour, by national and international artists. It is organized by concert promoter Pecan Pie, that now celebrates its tenth anniversary.
Concerts scheduled:
Friday 5:
20:15 pm: David Goodman. Composer, guitarist and vocalist of My Dear Flotsam. He will play songs from the band in solo acoustic format.
21:15 h: Toni Monserrat Inc. is the latest project by the Mallorcan musician, which this year has published 38 Bucks with very positive reviews.
22:15 h: The Redlands Palomino Company. The British country-rock band presents its latest work, Broken Carelessly (2014).
23: 15 h: The Hazey Janes. This Scottish quartet moves between country, psychedelia and power-pop. Its latest album is Language Of Faint Theory.
Saturday 6:
20:15 pm: The Indian Summer. The influences of this Spanish trio are found in indie music 90. Late 2013 they recorded their second EP, Go Ahead!
21:15 h: Ilsen. Rock is the foundation of this band created in Barcelona in 2003. Far from fashionable, its musical proposal and the ultimate message are dense, brushing the conceptual. Its latest EP is La Constante Huida (2014).
22:15 h: The Nash. For more than a decade they were a reference to the indie rock scene of Mallorca. In 2009 they dissolved to undertake projects separately, now back together extraordinarily at Summer Pie 2014.
23:15 h: The Parson Red Heads. The band from Portland (USA), which also celebrates its tenth anniversary, ends this year’s edition. In 2007 they released their first full length album King Giraffe, a work that sums up what identifies them in music: folk melodies, loud guitars and unabashed pop. Its latest album is Orb Weaver (2013).
