The XII International Festival of Classical Music Pianino 2019 brings together in this concert the Spanish pianists Susana Gómez Vázquez and Cristina Allés, who will play alone and four hands on an 1851 Pleyel piano.

Susana Gómez began her piano studies with Miguel Angel Martínez Guillén and later studied with Patsy Toh in the RAM's junior department and at the Purcell School of Music, where she also trained in composition and singing. She has received master classes from teachers such as Fou Ts’ong, Cristina Ortiz, Kenneth Weiss, Pascal Devoyon, Kathryn Stott or Gabriela Montero, among others.

Since her debut at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid, her performances have led her to play in festivals and in prestigious concert halls in Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Poland, Switzerland and Italy.

She has performed as a soloist with the Spanish RadioTelevision Orchestra, Purcell School Symphony orchestra, the ORQUAH and the UPM Symphony Orchestra, in addition to making recordings for National Classical Radio and BBC Radio.

Among her numerous awards, there are the first prizes in the Permanent Competition of Musical Youth of Spain 2016, the Maud Hornsby Award and the Franz Reizenstein Prize of the Royal Academy of Music. During her stay at the Purcell School, she won the Freddy Morgan and Wigmore competitions (solo mode and chamber music), and was awarded the first piano and composition prize of her promotion.

A great lover of chamber music, Susana is currently a member of the Le Beau Trio. In 2018 her composition Ella has been published by Quodlibet magazine.

Meanwhile, the Mallorcan Cristina Allés began her studies in 2011 at the Carl Maria von Weber Higher School of Music in Dresden. In addition to the master's degree with Professor Arkadi Zenziper, she has participated in master courses with Sintsev Leoonid, Roberto Bravo, Dina Parakhina and Yuriy Didenko, and received chamber music classes from Natascha Prishepenko, J. Fassmann and Matthias Wollong.

She has numerous awards among which the first prize of the 25th City of Manresa Music Prize in 2010 and the second prize of the international competition of young pianists in 2012 in Sumi (Ukraine) stand out. In 2013, with his Dopico Trio and as a soloist, she received the Deutschland Stipendium Scholarship.

She has performed as a soloist with the orchestra of the Dresden Higher School of Music, the symphony orchestra of the Technical University of Dresden and the Sächsischen Sinfonieorchester Chemnitz.

She currently performs concerts throughout Germany with her Duo Dopico, along with German violinist Nora Scheidig.
